Busy, busy!

We had an awesome weekend :) On Saturday, we went to Elkhart, IN to visit some of my best friends. Melissa (and boyfriend Mark), who lives in Elkhart, and Erika (and hubby Shane) drove up from Indy to meet us. We checked out Melissa's new house and then went to the Studebaker Museum in South Bend. The guys certainly had fun there :) I took lots of pictures, but I will only post my favorite. A 1934 Bendix. Isn't it pretty??

It was a long day for Connor, but all in all, he was well behaved. He had a few moments at the restaurant, but nothing major. He didn't really get a nap and wanted to go to sleep. He did sleep on the way home and was put right to bed.

Sunday was a lazy day around the house. We did figure out that the horse water tank has sunk. Which means it's not as insulated now that it's not touching the top of the box. So, I have to carry buckets of hot water out a few times a day to melt the ice. It doesn't help that we haven't had much sun this past week. The box is frozen to the ground, but the first warm day, we're going to empty the tank, put a sheet of plywood underneath it and use bricks to raise it to the top of the box.

I ordered some seeds for my garden today. I got an email from Park Seed with internet exclusives and couldn't pass up $1 seeds. I am most likely going to rope off the one corner of the horse pasture that gets the most sun and put it there. It's funny, we have 7 acres and no good place for a garden thanks to our many trees. Here's what I ordered:

Basil Dwarf Bush

Bean Mon Petite Cheri (smaller bush bean)

Hybrid Keepsake Tomato

Sun King Tomato (no pic)

Organic Rainbow Bell Peppers
