He's here!
Connor Eric Brum was born Monday, April 20 at 7:03 pm. He weighed 8 lbs, 1 oz and was 22 inches long. He was delivered via emergency c-section. He's doing great, I'm doing fine.

BPP and NST results
The Biophysical Profile and Non-Stress Test went well yesterday. He passed 100%. The ultrasound says he weighs 9 lbs +/- 1.5 lbs. Ok... so 7.5 to 10.5. That's a big difference!
If nothing happens before, I go in at 6pm on Sunday for induction.

41 week appt...
Yes, 41 weeks.
Blood pressure/his heart rate was fine. I'm dialated to 2cm, still no contractions. As long as nothing changes, I go to the hospital Wednesday evening for a non stress test and biophysical profile. The BPP checks how he's doing via ultrasound. And then if nothing happens, we're inducing on Sunday, should have him on Monday.

Due today...
and not a damn thing happening.
Still 1 cm, nothing has changed. If nothing happens between now and then, I go back on Monday. Then Wed or Thurs for a non-stress test and bio-something test (ultrasound to check on things), then induce the Monday after.
Grr.... Stubborn. Just like his mom and dad.

FMLA Update
Ok, so great news! I actually got a call back from the US Dept of Labor this morning. He said it's entirely up to me. I just can't come back before the 6 weeks the doctor says. I got his DIRECT LINE and gave the info to my HR person.
She called him and got the correct information and called me to her office. I got a new approval form saying up to 12 weeks. She apologized and thanked me for looking into it. She told me that she has been to 2 HR seminars this year run by labor attorneys and both said what she originally told me
(that I could only take what the doctor said). So she's mass emailing her network of HR professionals with the correct information.
Yay!!
