Updates

Jon, Connor and I went for a nice walk last night. It's hard to take him for a walk when you have no sidewalks. We had to cross 10th St (another 30mph road that people go 40+ on) and that's just no fun. And not very safe, in my opinion. But I'm not going to load everything into the Blazer for a 30 minute walk. I'll have to this winter though. We'll probably go to the mall and join the morning mall walkers. I really need to get going and start an exercise plan. I have a list of exercises that are safe after a c-section, I just need to find it!

I am going to Babies R Us tonight to buy a mesh crib bumper. This child is such a mover. The other morning he woke me up by screaming. That horrible, scared/hurt scream. He was on his side, with his chest pressed against the crib bars, and his arms and legs all the way through.

He's starting to roll over somewhat. Definitely with help and very slowly on his own. I know he rolls over on his own because he'll do it in the crib. I just haven't seen it.

Connor is already 3 months old today! It's amazing to watch him grow and change. Jon had him rolling over on Saturday (with and without help). He's such a good baby. He sleeps through the night (with a few exceptions) and is learning new things every day.

Such a happy baby!

4th of July

It rained! Almost all day! Long enough that we couldn't take Connor in the pool for the first time. Oh well, hopefully it'll be better weather for Mason and Miller's birthday party in August.

Everyone commented on how big he's getting. He got passed around a bit and didn't take more than a 10 minute nap all day. I didn't get to see many fireworks because he decided he wanted to eat during that time. I finally got him to sleep and went outside for about 10 minutes. Next thing I know, Aunt Gail's bringing him out because he was screaming. *sigh* Luckily at that time the guys were coming up from doing fireworks and we got ready to leave.

He definitely slept well that night!

Actually he slept quite a bit yesterday too, must have been making up for time lost!

Stay At Home Dad For 2 Weeks

Jon's enjoying being a SAHD for these two weeks while he's on vacation. He's starting to realize why I don't get a lot (if anything) done on some days! Yesterday Connor wouldn't stay down for more than 10 minutes. Of course, once I got home, I fed him and he went to sleep for a few hours before bedtime.

I think Connor is mad at me for leaving him. When I got home on Monday and Tuesday, he was excited and happy to see me. By last night, he wouldn't even look me in the eye. I don't see how moms can just drop their kid on daycare and leave.

Tomorrow we're going to Aunt Gail's for a 4th of July celebration. It should be fun!

Back at work

I went back to work on Monday. Boo. Jon has two weeks of vacation that he is taking now so he can stay home with Connor. He's coming up to the bank today so we can have lunch together and then show off Connor to a few people who didn't get to see him last time.
