Kindergarten!

First day of Kindergarten!

He was so ready!

Here we go!

Pick up right at the driveway. He was fine, I may have had a few tears...

First day lunch - mini chocolate chips, cheese crackers, grapes, peanut butter & jelly - all his choice

Kindergarten Orientation and Last Outing!

We have a kindergartner!

Such tiny lockers!

Love the cafeteria!

The day before school started, my mom and I took him to a local arboretum. They have a railway garden!

and lots of frogs

and neat benches in the children's garden

Then we went to lunch at one of our favorite places.
They celebrate American history from the steelworker era.

Pre-K Graduation!

Yes, I know. I haven't updated in a long time. So again, you'll get a bunch of updates at once! Lucky you!

Connor has graduated Pre-Kindergarten!

It was a really cute program. They sang lots of songs. The teachers brought up each student individually and gave them a "quality" and said something about them. Connor's was Curiousity because he kept his teacher on her toes with all of his questions. And... "When Connor grows up, he wants to be a horse trainer." !!!

First Days of Pre-Kindergarten!

Connor started school! He's going three days a week for 2 1/2 hours. It's a program run by the local high school. There are high school seniors who participate in the class and get college credit.

On his first official day, he had a hard time getting out of bed. He told me that he needed to take a little nap before he actually got up.

He loves his backpack. It has a detachable lunch box that he takes his snack and drink in.

He was so excited!

His first day went well. No tears from him. I held it together (barely). The second day was not as good. He grabbed my hand and asked me to come do a puzzle with him. I told him, "No, you go do the puzzle, I'll be back later." He took off, but right after I was out of the room, I heard him come running and "Where did my mommy go?!". He told me later that he cried.

This last week was fine. We had talks about how he's going to go to school for a few hours and then I'll be back to pick him up. He's having a lot of fun and has already earned a sticker for his folder!

He already brought home his first Scholastic flyer. I am so excited about that! He loves to look through books and be read to. I hope he always enjoys books!
