Muffin Tin Monday - The Arctic (sort of)

Today's Muffin Tin Monday is "The Arctic". For lunch, Connor had:

A boulder sandwich from the Chuggington book, "Snowstruck Wilson"
- Brownberry Honey Wheat Sandwich Thins
- Mayo
- Cracked pepper turkey
- Cheddar Cheese

Apple slices

Yogurt raisin snowballs

Blue vanilla pudding with silver snowballs

Marshmallow snowballs

Yeah, a lot of snowballs...

After looking at some of the other entries, I could have done a lot better. Someone did penguin sandwiches. I have that penguin cutter, didn't think about it until it was too late. Someone did whale cheese crackers, I just saw those last week and didn't get them. Oh well, he enjoyed it and that's all that matters!

Muffin Tin Monday - Valentine's Day

I'm going to *try* to do Muffin Tin Mondays on a more regular basis... This week's theme was Valentine's Day, so I saved it for today.

Goldfish Vanilla Cupcake Graham Crackers
Heart sandwich with multi-grain sandwich thins, lettuce, roast beef, cheese and mayo
Sliced strawberries
Yoplait Black Forest Cake yogurt with Valentine's sprinkles

Muffin Tin Monday has a new home!

Muffin Tin Monday

Connor was given a dinosaur sandwich cutter over the weekend, so I figured today would be a good day to get back into Muffin Tin Mondays!

Chobani Champions Greek Yogurt (mixed berry) with blueberries, fruit snacks, Capri Sun Super V (berry), dinosaur cheese and turkey sandwiches, cherry tomatoes

Ok, does ANYONE know how to rotate pics in Blogger? Or prevent them from turning?

Muffin Tin Monday

I can't get it to rotate. I don't know why this happens sometimes. It's not saved this way.

Anyways, Happy Valentine's Day!

Connor had chicken, strawberry Jell-o, cherry cobbler yogurt, mozzarella cheese, and peanut butter toast hearts.

Muffin Tin and Wordless Wednesday

Connor and I are battling colds this week.

Monday's Muffin Tin:

Theme was "Big and Little, Short and Tall". We just did Big and Little circles. Popcorn chicken, bagel thin, bananas and grapes. Not a tin, this cute divided plate came from Target's Dollar Spot.

Wordless Wednesday:

This cutie showed up in our backyard earlier this week. She's been hanging around, eating acorns. Yes, she has three legs. No, I don't know what happened. We're calling her "Daisy" :)

Muffin Tin Monday

No theme today. Connor had wild rice with broccoli, colby cheese, grapes, butternut squash, chicken and ketchup.

Muffin Tin Monday

We did Muffin Tin on Monday, I just didn't post it till today. The theme was muffin cups and liners only. I skipped the theme because Connor likes to shred the liners or throw them all on the floor!

He had Ritz with provolone cheese, apple slices, taco beef and honey almond yogurt.

Since I've created an album just for Muffin Tin meals on Facebook, I noticed a theme. A lot of his meals are the same color... beige-y and no real color. We're going to change that. Today I picked up more apples, bananas, butternut squash, green beans, spinach and carrots. It's a start. We BOTH need to start eating better!

Muffin Tin Monday and more

Here is our Muffin Tin from yesterday. The theme was supposed to be "Food Picks, Skewers and Kabobs". I don't have anything for tooth picks. It was suggested to use pretzel sticks with fruit/cheese or twizzlers for kabobs. I didn't have either in the house, but now have ideas for next time. Connor's going through a phase where he sticks his fingers in his ears and I wouldn't want to give him a sharp, pointy toothpick right now ;)

So we have turkey meatballs with pizza sauce, Ritz crackers with Sargento cheddar Mickeys, Annie's bunny grahams, and pears. I have a new tin too :) I looked all over for a 6 cup muffin tin and finally found one at a grocery store. The big box stores didn't have them! I got a convection toaster oven for Christmas and needed a metal 6 cup tin for it. Next week's theme is "Muffin Cups and Liners". I'm going to have to use my silicone liners... these paper cups ended up being flipped out, crumpled and thrown to the dog... Hey, he had fun!

I've been looking for more Muffin Tin decorations. We had a kitchen store in the mall. They had really cute sets of animal shaped sprinkles. I didn't get them at the time, and now they are closed. So the next time I go to the outlet mall, I'll have to get them then. I did order egg molds on Amazon. No way am I going to find a Japanese theme store in Northwest IN!

Here are two pics of Connor with his "Uncle" Eric. Eric came to visit from Florida. He's Jon's best friend and Connor's Godfather.

We recently had 40-50 degree weather and the snow is all gone. Connor's not too thrilled about that. He looks out the window, points and says "Bye bye snow" and "no snow". I was looking up his age chapter in the "What To Expect" book and had to laugh when it said he should be able to say 6 words and a few body parts. He was running through his vocabulary the other night, well 3 am... He has "mommy, daddy, love you, Madi, Madison, puppy, down, up, uppies (up please), please, you're welcome, thank you, horses, Raja, Kobe, Cocoa, fish, eat, crackers, milk, refill, cup, drink, get down, no, yup, hi, blanket, tractor, car, train, green, blue, pink, uh huh, cookie, snow, hair, ears, eyes, nose, mouth, teeth, brush teeth, belly, knees, feet, toes, socks, shoes, shirt, pants, jacket, coat". I know there are others, but that's all I can think of right now.

Muffin Tin Monday, Christmas Recap

First, here is our weekly Muffin Tin:

Ok, the photo won't rotate for me, tried it 3x and it comes up sideways. Anyway, he had turkey meatballs with cheddar cheese, apple cobbler yogurt with sprinkles, Annie's cheddar bunnies, watermelon and canteloupe.

Christmas Recap:

I think a toy store exploded in our living room. :) Connor got tons of toys and clothes. He did well with opening everything. He had fun playing with his cousins and eating lots of food :)

Muffin Tin Monday....er... Thursday

Ok, so things have been busy this week... We've been gone every day except for today. Which is why you have multiple posts in one day :)

Here is the Muffin Tin I did for Connor's breakfast this morning. Christmas tree toast with peanut butter, snowman toast with marshmallow fluff, Sugar Cookie yogurt, and a "holly" cheese stick.

I picked up a set of Wilton Edible Food markers a month or so ago and hadn't brought them out yet. Did you know they are supposed to be refridgerated after opening? Now I have markers in my fridge...

Oh, and if you didn't see it earlier today, the fun flavored yogurt (pumpkin pie, sugar cookie, etc) is from Archer Farms, one of Target's brands. Don't let the "low fat" and "fat free" sway you away from them... they are quite good!

Muffin Tin Monday, a few days late

Ok, so we did Muffin Tin Monday on Thursday since the theme was Thanksgiving.

I don't know why the picture is sideways, but it won't let me fix it. So we had crescent rolls, sweet potatoes w/ marshmallows, stuffing, honey glazed carrots, turkey and cranberry sauce. Connor went right for the cranberry sauce and didn't eat much else. He did better later on with the leftovers :)

We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Muffin Tin Monday - Food Pyramid

Ok... so "Food Pyramid" theme... I had a Tupperware convention this weekend, Jon was out of town yesterday, so wasn't thinking in advance for this. Here's what I threw together:

Top L-R: Peanut butter "dog bone" toast, apples & blueberries sauce (leftover Gerber jar I found in the pantry)
Bottom L-R: Green beans, peach yogurt, whole wheat Goldfish/Annie's Cheddar Bunnies

Muffin Tin Monday - Trees, Leaves and Harvest

It's Muffin Tin Monday again! This time, the theme is Trees, Leaves and Harvest.

Top L-R: Grilled cheese (if you can see it, there are leaves stamped on the bread), chicken

Bottom L-R: Annie's Bunny Grahams, peach yogurt

No trees, no real "harvest", but it works for us.

And yes, he did dip the grilled cheese in the peach yogurt...

Bottom L-R - Archer Farms honey almond yogurt w/ sprinkles, ghost bread

And what do you think was eaten first? Right. The cookie.

My First Muffin Tin Monday

I stumbled on this blog last week. Muffin Tin Mom. What the heck is it? Every Monday, there is a theme (or no theme) for a "muffin tin meal" or snack. You put your child's meal or snack in a muffin tin. Simple. And cute :) This week had no theme.

Here is our first attempt:

Slot 1 & 2 - Toast with pumpkin butter
Slot 3 - Colby Jack cheese
Slot 4 - Twisty Grahams
