We had our friends, Dan and Jane, over today to celebrate the 4th. We did burgers and brats on the grill, my dill potato salad and other goodies, including a chocolate eclair "cake". The chickens got some watermelon that disappeared quickly.
Jon and Dan did some fireworks. Usually we can see big ones from here, but no one seemed to be doing any this year. We hear lots of booming, but none up in the air. Connor did his first sparklers. I was thrilled to find out they don't burn you anymore!
